Vintage Navajo Thunderbird

$325.00

Vintage Navajo Thunderbird Pin | Circa 1940

A striking example of mid-century Southwestern craftsmanship, this vintage Thunderbird pin dates to the Fred Harvey era, circa 1940. Handcrafted in sterling silver, the piece is entirely hand stamped with bold feather detailing and strong symmetry hallmarks of Navajo silversmithing from this period.

At the center rests a natural, oval turquoise cabochon, set proudly in the chest of the Thunderbird. In Native symbolism, the Thunderbird represents power, protection, and strength, making this pin not only visually compelling but deeply meaningful.

Substantial in scale and rich with patina, this is a true collector’s piece, meant to be worn on a jacket, coat, or hat, or displayed as part of a curated vintage collection. A rare example of Fred Harvey–era jewelry that carries both history and presence.
