Hand-Painted Pink & Green Bird Cachepot
Fresh, charming and full of character, this wheel thrown porcelain cachepot is hand painted in soft coral pink and olive green. A whimsical long tailed bird stands among blooming peonies, leafy branches and delicate grasses, its speckled plumage and feathered crest drawn with loose, lively brushwork. A scrolling cloud border circles the top, and a geometric wave pattern finishes the base, giving the piece a classic chinoiserie feel with a relaxed, modern palette.
The rim is intentionally rustic, with a distressed brown edge that gives the pot a time worn, collected look, as if it’s been treasured for generations. Because each piece is thrown and painted by hand, slight variations in shape and design make every cachepot one of a kind.
Use it to hold an orchid, herbs or a leafy houseplant, Christmas tree, or fill it with brushes, utensils or rolled linens. It’s equally at home on a kitchen counter, sideboard or bookshelf.
